2017 Convention Video To Be Shown Regarding The 1975 Failure
by pale.emperor inhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=go3arnnsfkk&feature=youtu.be.
no mention whatsoever that it was watchtower themselves that strongly hinted towards this date.
instead they blame those who "put their trust in a date, not jehovah".. let's recap... .

I watched the video for the second time and became more pissed off. They don't even mention the year 1975 but everyone knows what year they are talking about. At every circuit assemblies in the early 1970's, there was a big poster off to to side of the stage with the amount of months remaining until the end of 1975.
I believe that the video is designed to squash any conversations about 1975 because "mother" said that we never pointed at the date and only over zealous, out-of-step witnesses drew false conclusions. This will create a fear factor for digging into Watchtower history even though it can easily be proved in their literature.

In a way 1975 is as important as 1914. In my lifetime 1975 was going to be my last year in this old system. After graduation from high school I was going to go to school to enter the medical field but two elders questioned my lack of faith in Jehovah since the end was coming in 1975. I caved in and got a job as a laborer. When I took my work clothes off at home I left a little pile of dirt on the floor by the door. I traded dirt for clean white clothes worn in the medical field. Well the two elders are now dead and I am several years into retirement and the end is till just around the corner.
If the Watchtower Company can make the 1975 lie disappear with thousands of witnesses still alive, how much easier to make the 1914 lie, with no alive witnesses, go poof. 1914 will soon be gone. Everything that took place in that year was conveniently invisible anyhow. An invisible battle in heaven, Satan hurled invisibly down to the earth and Jesus now ruling as an invisible king. The older witnesses who go the the assembly will see the video and say to themselves that is not how I remember it; however, the vast majority will say nothing because of their advanced age and having no other friends or things to do.

I'll pray for you
by I quit! inone thing over the years social media has made me painfully aware of is how many times i see someone use the phrase "i'll pray for you" and the outcome is bad.
recently a friend of mine who at one time was my manager where i worked got cancer.
a lot of people were praying for him.

If someone has received prayers due to sickness and gets better that is proof that he listens to prayers. Wouldn't a loving god want to make someone better without being begged to do so? Would you need to be begged to help a loved one or even a stranger to feel better?
If someone has received prayers and doesn't get better and dies then it is just time and unforeseen occurrences that befall us all and it just points to the need of a paradise earth that is just around the corner. We are so close you better not buy any yellow bananas.

Jehovah intervened in Russia
by Sour Grapes ini saw the recent video that the borg put out about the trial in russia and how pleased the russian brothers were that a member of the gibbering booty, brother sanders, came to support them for six days.
well, there was a one-day delay in the trial which enabled the russian witnesses to have the memorial in their kingdom halls.
well, brother sanders was very quick to point out that it was very evident that jehovah intervened to enable the brothers to celebrate the memorial.

The problem is with the millions of letters sent to the Russian officials and the millions of prayers that were offered to beg Jehovah that the Russian court does not rule against the Witlesses, they did and now they are taking over their properties. So God could delay the trial by a day, but he could not alter the decision by the Russian court.

How can elders say how Jehovah feels?
by Sour Grapes inwhen we look at the total universe imagine a jar of sand.
just one grain of sand would be our galaxy so we may be able to see our earth with an electron microscope.
with that in mind, it always made we cringe when at the meetings an elder would say "jehovah has prepared a spiritual banquet for us tonight," or "it makes jehovah happy that we made the effort to attend the meeting tonight.

One of my favorites for Jehovah's direct intervention would be the interviews at circuit assemblies, There would be a part of putting your trust in Jehovah. There would be a pioneer sister who needed $22.50 to fill her gas tank up so she could travel to the district convention so she prayed to god. And viola, the next day she gets her mail and she finds an envelope with cash in the amount of $22.50. Everyone breaks out in loud applause. Hallelujah! When always bugged me is she should have prayed for $45.00 because won't she need gas to get back home?
Then there are the endless stories of being in service and one was going to stop for the day but Jehovah encouraged him to take one more door and the householder took the magazines Now he is in my magazine route now. Praise god.
The Witlesses prayers are powerful. I wish they would pray that god would provide some food for the 20,000 people that die every day of starvation. Certainly, if Jehovah can produce $22.50 he could provide some food.

Field service even when parts of town are flooded.
by StephaneLaliberte inyes, you heard right.
this morning, jehovah's witnesses in gatineau were preaching door to door when parts of their city are under water.1500 volunteers (not jws) showed up to help their fellow citizen in need.
meanwhile, jws were knocking on the doors in areas that were not flooded talking about how the weather is messed up and how it is a sign of the end.

It always bugged me when the Witlesses say how bad world conditions are now which proves how close the end is. Such stupidity is hard to fathom. All one has to do is look at WWII where over 60,000,000 people died in a few years and cities were bombed and there was food rationing. Today is a cake walk.

I always liked, "It makes Jehovah's heart rejoice when our youngster's comment." Who in the hell do the elders think they are to say what Jehovah feels? Oh, how it makes them feel so special.

I was the go-to guy to say the blessing over the food when we had non-JW family meals. I stopped this 5 months ago and told them I can no longer thank God for the food we have when so many people starve to death each day. He provided manna for the Israelites so there are no excuses for people dying today unless he lost his power.
